Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Agra+

Meet & Greet Services by TravelOcat driver cum guide at Delhi Airport and proceed to Agra in an Individual Vehicle.

AGRA FORT

Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site.It is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal. The fort can be more accurately described as a walled city.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing+

The colossal Red Fort in Delhi was the home of the formidable Mughal emperors for around 200 years until the British took over it in 1857. The fort is not just a symbol of the popular grandeur of the Mughal era, but it has withstand the trials of turbulent times, especially during India’s most historical events that shaped the foundation of the country. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions of the national capital. The UNESCO declared the Red Fort a World Heritage Site in 2007, in recognition of its significance. Red Fort is one of the most celebrated monuments of India and is the symbol of valour and peace.

This 17th century monument is of APRagonal shape and it covers around 255 acres of land. The total number of gates here is three. The royals used to enter the fort through the Khizrabad Gate that has been closed for commoners now. The Lahore and Delhi Gates are open to locals and tourists. The fort was planned to house a palace inside its campus. The Red Fort still a historical and architectural wonder.

The Lotus Temple (also known as Kamal Mandir)  in Delhi is a matchless architectural marvel and one of the prime tourist attractions of the National Capital. Shaped in the form of a spectacular lotus with white petals, it makes for a break-taking sight and attracts countless visitors throughout the year. Unlike most other places of worship, this temple or Bahai House of Worship does not allow ritualistic ceremonies and has no fixed pattern to conduct worship.

The Qutub Minar is a brick minaret built in 1193 by Muslim conquerors of Delhi. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Delhi’s most visited tourist attractions. At 240 feet (73 meters) high, it’s also an impressive engineering feat—all the more notable for surviving for so many centuries.

This great mosque of Old Delhi is the largest in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees. It was begun in 1644 and ended up being the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor who built the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort

India Gate is an awe-inspiring monument built as a war memorial honoring Indian soldiers who demonstrated remarkable courage while serving under the British Empire during World War I and Afghan Wars. Designed by renowned British architect, Edwin Lutyens, with its foundation stone being laid down in 1921 before being completed ten years later in 1931. As an architectural marvel that symbolizes sacrifice and patriotism, it stands tall as a tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for India. This monument is a lasting tribute to the bravery of Indian Army soldiers with over 13,000 names etched on its walls to honour their memory and valour.

Day 3: Delhi to Manali+

Delhi to Manali distance via this route is 536 kms and takes about 12 hours to reach. The road condition is good and can be taken by travellers who wish to stop by scenic locations on their way.

The Pandoh Dam is an embankment dam on the Beas River in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Under the Beas Project, the dam was completed in 1977 and its primary purpose is hydroelectric power generation.

Day 4: Manali Arrival & Sajla Waterfall+

Arrival in Manali & Check in to hotel. After few hours of rest proceed for Sajla Waterfall Manali. Sajla Waterfall is surrounded by deodar trees, pine trees, apple orchards and spectacular snow-covered mountain peaks; this fall is a charming picnic spot. The first sight of the falls is quite hidden and will be a surprise for the visitor as the water unexpectedly rushes from a cluster of rocks. You can also enjoy a refreshing bath at this fall or you can even leisurely swim in the small pool of this falls. One can trek up the hill to reach the top of the hill which provides a better view of the waterfall and its lovely surroundings. The short trek up the hill is fairly easy. After visiting the Sajla temple complex, you can start the trek. The trek route passes through narrow lane by the side of temple, and it goes through apple orchids, tall pine trees small water streams.

Day 5: Solang Valley Excursion+

After breakfast have excursion trip to Solang Valley where you can admire the enchanting sights of the surroundings and can enjoy various thrilling adventure activities by own cost. As the winter approaches, the same Solang Valley takes a shape of a Snowy Blanket, thus forming a perfect vista for several snow activities. After enjoying the outing return to hotel for Overnight stay.

ROHTANG PASS MANALI

Rohtang Pass- a gateway to Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, remains one of the most spectacular destinations in the entire Kullu region. This picturesque pass is located around 51 kms away from Manali, at a height of 3980 meters, on Manali Keylong highway. This mountain slope is so beautiful that people from every corner of the country visit this place to take part in adventure sports such as skiing, ice-skating, paragliding, etc. The Rohtang Pass is open for tourist from April to APRober and the permission to travel on this highway is given by the Indian Army, once they clear the snow. Just beyond the stunning Rohatng pass is the Sonapani Glacier and the twin peak of Gaypan, which is known for its panoramic view and peaceful atmosphere. People visit this spot to have some refreshing moments purely in the arms of mother nature. Some people also visit the famous Beas Kund, the source of the Beas River and a holy site for Hindus as the same is easily accessible from the Rohtang Pass. It is believed that the sage Vyas used to meditate at this site.

HOT AIR BALLOON: Hot air ballooning in Manali is one of the most exotic adventure sports in Manali. This is a concept which is gaining buzz amongst tourists. Floating up in an air balloon is an activity which appeals to people of all age groups right from kids to middle aged couples.

Day 6: Manali Local Sightseeing+

Places Today, get all set for visiting the prime attractions of Manali. Visit Hadimba Devi Temple- an ancient temple around 450 years old that is dedicated to Hadimba Devi wide of one of the Pandava brothers Bhim, Jagat Sukh- a small village that houses old Shikara-style temples and Vashisht Kund- hot water sulphur springs. Later in the day explore the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft centre. Take a walk upto the old Vashisht village.

A gentle walk will take 30 minutes to reach the base of the waterfall. Small stretch of up slope will be there near the waterfall. While travelling you can see Beas River and snow peaks of Rohtang at your left side.

Yogini mata temple is at the base of the waterfall. From here if you can climb then can reach the top point of the waterfall. The stiff climb will take 20 minutes more to reach at top. If you don't want to climb up then towards your right side through narrow path you can reach the base of the waterfall. Here there is small pool formed by the falling water and here you can take bath and spend some time. Or visit, Manali Club House, Van Vihar and Manu temple Apart from that also you can visit Tibetan Monastery

Day 7: Manali to Dharamshala via Kullu+

Kullu is a place where ease meets adventure. It is one of the best places in India to experience adventure sports with natural beauty. Will multiple amazing places around, Kullu is certainly the hub of Himachal travels.

PARAGLIDING: Kullu is recognized as the paragliding hub of India. Experience a bird’s eye view of the world? Paragliding at Kullu offers excellent world class facility for Paragliding and is one of the best gliding sites in the world.

There is no prior experience required for trying out this adventure activity. You can enjoy a tandem paragliding which is a two-seater joy ride where an experienced Pilot holding International tandem license and an experience of more than 5000 hours of flying does all the needful. All you have to do is sit back and taste the thrill and fun of free flight. Paragliding is a thrilling sport and gives adrenaline rush like nothing else. With a flying time of 25 – 30 minutes, you get enough time in the air to marvel at the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar Range below, feeling the rush throughout.

WATER RAFTING: River rafting in Kullu is an all-time favorite of tourists and adventurists pouring into the region throughout the year. You’ll arrive at the starting point and get the briefing on the activity. You must listen to this very carefully as the instructions are for ensuring that you get the best of experiences here.

This will be followed by a gear check before you put it on. Then the rafts are lowered in the river and everyone climbs in it. And then, you raft. With rafting trips lasting for as short as 7 km and as long as 14 km, the thrills always remain on a high as you negotiate the rapids of the ever-torrential waters of Beas in Kullu, which further adds to the whole excitement factor of Kullu river rafting.

Day 8: Dharamshala & Dalhousie+

BHAGSUNAG TEMPLE

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ancient Bhagsunag or Bhagsunath Temple is one of the most famous temples in Dharamshala. It is 3 km from McLeod Ganj and is frequented by Hindus and the local Gorkha community. Apart from the main shrine, the temple has a sacred pond and a swimming pool. Devotees visiting the shrine can also take a dip in the holy pond; it is believed that the water in this pond has magical healing powers. The divine aura and peaceful ambience of the temple make it one of the best places to visit in Dharamshala. After paying your respects at the temple, you can also spend some time near the Bhagsunag Waterfalls.

Bhagsu Waterfall

Plunging from a height of 20 m, Bhagsu Waterfall is one of the best places to visit in Dharamshala. The waterfall boasts unique scenic beauty and is a perfect spot for those looking to spend quality time amidst nature. With the famous Bhagsunag Temple in the vicinity, the waterfall is frequented by nature lovers and devotees alike.

DAL LAKE

Surrounded by lush deodar trees and rugged mountains, Kareri Dal Lake is one of the most scenic and best places to visit in Dharamshala for couples. It is frequented by those looking to spend some peaceful time in the lap of nature, away from all the chaos.

Apart from lazing around this calm and serene lake, you can plan a picnic here with your loved ones, take boat rides and seek blessings at the small Shiva Temple on the banks. Kareri Dal Lake is also a popular stopover for adventure enthusiasts trekking up to Sunset Point.

Known for its pleasant climate and natural beauty, Dalhousie is one of the most famous hill stations in Himachal Pradesh.

The hill station has the same effect on tourists today, with its waterfalls, rivers making their way through mountains, dense forest trails that run parallel to enormous cliffs with grand views of Dauladhar range in the distance and a couple of churches that were built during the British Raj. Cafes, markest, Mall Road, those are equally convincing reasons to plan a trip to Dalhousie.

Day 9: Khajjiar & Dalhousie+

After having breakfast, visit Khajjiar (Khajjiar is closed some time in Dec-Jan due to heavy snow) the mini-Switzerland, Kalatop, Satdhara and Gandhi Chowk. Evening free. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Khajjiar, prominently known as  ‘Mini Switzerland of India’, is a famous hill station  of Himachal Pradesh. This place is of the limited number places in the world that bear tropical resemblance to Switzerland. The fresh air mountains, picturesque landscapes, snow-laden mountains and encompassing dense devdar forests makes it an adventurer and nature lover’s playground.

KALATOP

Kalatop is one of the most pristine destination in Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, and is known for the lush green surroundings and snow capped Himalayan peaks.. This wonderful destination tops the list of almost every traveler who visits Dalhousie with an aim to explore the natural splendours that are available in abundance here. Kalatop is located approximately 12 kms from Dalhousie and it can be easily reached through trekking. The visitors often come here with family or friends, and spend hours gazing at the beautiful surroundings of Kalatop that embrace the amazing green landscapes and majestic mountains in its vicinity.

SATDHARA FALLS

The exquisite Satdhara Falls in Dalhousie region of Himachal Pradesh is filled with scenic beauty and serene ambience making it one of the most popular sightseeing attractions. This stunning Satdhara fall derives its name from the seven beautiful springs that flows from a height of 2036 meters, passing the majestic mountains and cliffs of Chamba Valley. This amazing waterfall is set amid a very pleasant surroundingin Dalhousie and offers beautiful views of snow-covered mountains, surrounded by pine and Deodar trees. Day 10: Dalhousie to Amritsar+

A trip to Amritsar must include a visit to the Wagah Border of India. It’s the boundary separating India from its neighbour Pakistan. And every evening, at sunset, a flag ceremony is held here, following which the gates are closed for the day.

This Wagah Border Retreat ceremony is no less spellbinding than a theatrical play. Soldiers march in sync and bring down the national flag ritualistically.

Before the event, women and kids dance to patriotic songs, increasing the nationalistic fervour among the spectators. From shouts of patriotism to the display of army discipline, Wagah Beating Retreat Ceremony is a moving event.

Thousands of people, including foreign nationals, line up at Wagah Border Attari to watch the show. It’s a show of national pride, and also a source of entertainment for everyone.

Sri Darbar Sahib, also known as Sri Darbar Sahib or Golden Temple, (on account of its scenic beauty and golden coating for English speaking world), is named after Hari (God) the temple of God. The Sikhs all over the world, daily wish to pay visit to Sri Amritsar and to pay obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib in their Ardas. Guru Arjan Sahib, the Fifth Nanak, conceived the idea of creating a central place of worship for the Sikhs and he himself designed the architecture of Sri Darbar Sahib. Earlier the planning to excavate the holy tank (Amritsar or Amrit Sarovar) was chalked out by Guru Amardas Sahib, the Third Nanak, but it was executed by Guru Ramdas Sahib under the supervision of Baba Budha ji. The land for the site was acquired by the earlier Guru Sahibs on payment or free of cost from the Zamindars (landlords) of native villages. The plan to establish a town settlement was also made. Therefore, the construction work on the Sarovar (the tank) and the town started simultaneously in 1570. The work on both projects completed in 1577 A.D.
